Joy from the Truth Bible Study

Hello, this is Elder Joseph Watson, here again for another Warrior Wednesday. I’m excited to connect with you all. How are you enjoying these Bible studies? Have they been a blessing to you? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Feel free to send me a message or a testimony at 626-626-5635. Let me know what topics you’d like to explore, or just share how these studies have impacted your life. You can also write to us, visit our website at bowfc.org, and leave your thoughts there.

Tonight, I want to discuss a crucial question: Do you find joy in the truth? Does knowing the truth bring excitement to your heart? Jesus declared that He is the Truth and the Light, and I’m filled with gratitude to have Him in my life. I also want to thank Pastor Lantis and Mylene for leading this Band of Warriors program. Their dedication and sacrifices make this possible, and it’s through their hard work that we can come together and be part of something so meaningful.

Drawing Joy from God’s Word

Let’s turn to Isaiah 12, where God speaks to the children of Israel.

In verse 1, it says, “In that day you will say: ‘I will praise you, Lord. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away, and you have comforted me.’” This reminds us that even when we face challenges, God is always there to comfort us. He promised never to leave or forsake us, and He sent the Holy Spirit as our Comforter.

Verse 2 continues, “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” God is our strength, and His presence is like a song in our hearts. Have you ever felt a song lift you up and give you joy throughout the day? That’s the joy God provides—strength and salvation wrapped in His love.

Verse 3 of Isaiah 12 says, “With joy, you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” This is powerful! God’s truth is like a well of salvation, filled with joy and hope. Every time we return to it, we can draw fresh strength and encouragement. The Gospel is the good news Jesus shared with His disciples and instructed them to spread across the world. This good news continues to inspire joy in us today.

Sharing the Truth with Joy

When we know the truth and let it shine in our lives, we naturally want to share it. Psalm 34 tells us to bless the Lord at all times and let His praise continually be in our mouths. When you experience joy in your soul, it’s hard to keep it hidden. Just like a light, joy shines through every aspect of your life, and it draws others to the truth.

God’s word encourages us to boast in the Lord, to magnify His name, and to share His goodness with others. It’s not just about us—it’s about lifting up God’s name and showing others the joy we’ve found in Him.

Psalm 34:4 says, “I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.” This is such an encouraging truth! No matter what we face, God is ready to listen and deliver us from our troubles. And when He does, we can’t help but share it with others.

Rejoicing in Trials and Faith

Romans 5 reminds us that even in tribulations, we can find joy. It may seem strange, but trials help us grow in patience, experience, and hope. And hope doesn’t disappoint because God’s love is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. When we go through tough times, we are being refined, just like gold in a fire. The joy we find in God is precious, and it helps us stay strong through every challenge.

A Living Hope in Christ

1 Peter 1:3 reminds us that God has given us a “living hope” through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This hope is not just for today but for eternity. We have an inheritance that is incorruptible and reserved in heaven for us. This truth brings immense joy because we know that no matter what happens here on earth, we have a future secured in Christ.

As we continue to live out our faith, we find that joy is a natural response to the truth we know. This joy isn’t dependent on circumstances it’s rooted in the unchanging truth of God’s word and the salvation He offers.

Joy in Every Season

The truth of God’s word brings joy, hope, and salvation. It’s a well that never runs dry, and as we continue to draw from it, we are filled with strength and peace. Whether you’re in a season of blessing or facing trials, you can find joy in knowing that God is with you, guiding and sustaining you.

As we close, I encourage you to share this joy with others. Spread the truth, share your testimony, and let your light shine. Let’s continue to draw joy from the wells of salvation and rejoice in the truth of Jesus Christ.

Stay in touch, keep sharing your thoughts, and continue to be a light to those around you. God bless you all!
